Nice actually

Yeah I guess I've got a few comments.
The sound of that .. guitar synth didnt really get my attention. Try making it more wet or something (low-volumed delay, reeverb?)
On the other hand I think that this track is very technically correct, and the built ups are nice. Also the dynamics are good. If you could júst pimp up some of the channels to make the overall sound catchier, cuz the arrangment is very awesome :)

dh2050 responds:

thks for the comment
and also ive been trying to get a better effect for the guitar .. but it seems that this was the closest to it as i can get.
anyway ill try out your suggestion on the guitar effects. thks (this is from a midi btw)

Hm

Hey I've played Trackmania too.
The loop is out of rithme at times, and also the snare intro was a little weird if you ask me.
I hear the drums are also just a .wav ;( as so are the other stuff you keep putting in the song.
Listening to this didn't give me the feeling that I was listening to one song, but rather to two or three. Try to stick to one theme a bit more.

Good luck!

DanDyer responds:

Hey, Thanks for the C+C, I know about the Rhythm and some of it is a little "different" =P and the thing about it being like 2 or 3 songs is like a trademark of mine, i'm sticking with that because it mixes the song up.
Thanks again ^-^

Not bad

You used Vanguard?
It sounds okay, but a little overdrived. Watch that amp-meter and don't get it over-red, compressors help.

The variations were really good. If this track had a little more clarity then it could be one Id be listening more than once or twice.

jared-meyer responds:

i dont... know what vanguard is. i used fl studio. and i wanted it to grungey and dirty. so yea but thx neway

Sorry

Arent these music maker pre-made wavs? Did you do more than just arrange standard sounds? If yes, then it's a great song. If not, then it sux.
But thats only my opinion.
Try Fruity Loops (and I'm sorry if this piece has already been made with another program than Music Maker, cuz then its really sounding great and then you've done a good job at mastering the sounds etc.)
Just hope you used real creativity on this one, but I'm affraid you didnt? ;(

I just started the track..
Great intro!
Great drums, good use of those VSTI's ;)
Some weird timings again for the ambient-synths but that might be a matter of taste. (also later on)
Cool flang on the drums now, breaks coming.
God amazing saw and fx, this is deep..
U sliced my skin, great job!
5/5

ps: too bad u had to cut the length, I'll be downing the full one now .. U caugth my interest

Zodiak7 responds:

Hey man thanks for the detailed review I appreciate it! The reason the ambience is a bit random is because it's mostly mangled and stretched samples put together.

Its super

mario,

Ouch, somewhat over-reeverbed if you ask me. One tune will not convince me into thinking its a good track :) It's gold becuz it's the Maria theme maybe.
I dunno .. didn't really like it at all, though the melody keeps rocking lol.

Eric-S responds:

Yeah, A bit too much Reverb, But the point in this was just adding a drum track to it :P

Hehe

A few wrong notes but the rest is ok!
4/5

Eric-S responds:

Ya can't say they were wrong unless you adapt this to a modal structure, which I didn't!

Thanks though!

What the hell

Who did this?
It's pro ;)

Eric-S responds:

I did. I recorded each part of it.

It's a cover song.

Thanks!

Not bad

It's not bad! But for it to be at least sounding like classical music it has to change chords :) It was very good for a standalone melody!

BMC-Audio responds:

thanks for the review man. i made this a while ago and if i had made it today it would have been alot better and diverse. thanks again

jj

The beats should speed up a little. Sux

Yumbo-Yak responds:

BOO, but alas, u r correct. this does suck...i hate it:(

A little about myself then: I'm 18 years old and studying Computer Science in Eindhoven. I worked with Fruity Loops in me youth, and still use it for a hobby sometimes, which lately is making housy, loungy and sometimes chilled music. <3 spacing on that.
