Well

The tunes didn't really fit together! Watch this, they really didn't sound cool. The kickdrum-fill killed my boxes lool. Though the synth itself is nice!

horrorhead responds:

Hehe well yer i know, it sucks how i can't mod these songs at a later time..i have to make an entire song in one session and that my friend can be hard! =P
Yer...synths are kool =P lol
Well thanks for reviewing ! =D

lol

lmfao @ previous review
I agree though :S

why do you all hate me...

lol

Ugh! Is this that same song but then faster xD

1EtHeR0 responds:

Yeah...

lol

Hmm, Drum N Bass ha?
This piece of stuff is some kind of wrong techno :P
I didn't really like it. Already knew all the sounds . As do many, lol.
It has nothing too new really, but then again it isnt too bad.

1EtHeR0 responds:

um... okay...

heh

Sounded like this track only required 6 bars, sorry man :S

kevs91 responds:

OK, fair enough.
I guess the changes I wrote into this (so that the song changed alot, at least by my standards) were very subtle. Maybe too subtle, and I might only notice them because I know they're there before-hand. I'll work on making prominent changes as the track goes along.

I appreciate the 10 for originality, 'cos I was really trying to do something different with this track.
Hopefully I'm on the right path, so I can keep getting better.

As a little side note--in your response you called me "a respected guy". Not sure who you think you're talking to, but I'm as anonymous as the next kid. Thanks anyways ;).

Thanks alot for the review.

I'll try

The synth is nice, and so is its tune!! But maybe: try to vary with its cutoff, panning, etc.. Just select a new channel, get to the start of ur song, press record and play while you turn the soft-synth or mixerFX buttons (you dó use Fruity Loops don't ya?) Build up that tension rather then just volume-gaininglike adding the basedrum. I can imagine with a better tension build-up, variety you could make some hard shiit.
I can imagine percs and a highpitched synth or something coming in after the end of this snippet. And maaaybe again, try adding a very subtile sub in the kick ;), edit it with ur volume wide open and it'll be okay.

Good luck building it out!

Thanks for the review!

I'll probably be adding a longer version of this, using your tips.

And yes, I do use FL Studio.

Niice

Nice tunes there!
Disto in the intro, watch that FL volume meter ;)
Lol what the hell is this now? Another intro suddenly, with percs, a little weird .. though the synths involved are very nice especially the sawbass one. Rest of the track is okay but not tóo special.
Nice job though, 4/5 8+/10 keep this up!

DJ-DaVinster responds:

I've edited it a little & will be posting it soon.
Thanks for the review!

Hehe

Drumkick is a little over-distorted and the other sounds and tunes were a little random and suddenly from dark to happy, which I always hate :P
The snare, maybe try out some effects on it and make it louder?
The organ in the beginning didn't really fit in too lol.

ps: but I liked the main dark synth! It made me wanna move man.

DJ-DaVinster responds:

Thanks for the review!

Okay

I've been listening to this genre several years ;)
Nothing too new or special, I'd say. The kick sounds oldskool-like with more base frequences to it, kinda nice actually. Just try to get a kick ass break after this part, with lots of shapsynths, eventually pads and an MC (you? lol).
Oh yeah one advice, I know it's not belong to the genre, but still try to add more dynamics to the song. And maybe try to use SLIIIGHTY more bass into your kick - I turned the volume way up and it doesnt really sub nicely (though that might have been ur intention). And ehh, oh yeah, more variety in the hats and clap arrangements. I hear you already played something with those, but I'd advice you to differ a bit more. Last remark is about the clap too. It doesnt really sound good, try making it louder! Maybe reeverbing etc.
Good luck, and keep it up ;)

DJ-DaVinster responds:

Thanks for the review, I'll take your advice!

hehe

There is absolutely some kind of cool idea in this track! Too bad it has such a basic sound. It could be used in Runescape lol, but I'm sure you could make this into a cool sounding song (with a lower Midi-feeling if you know what I mean)

DyingFuzi responds:

First, thanx a lot. I used guitar pro for this track, and except for the midi sound they only have HORRIBLE guitar-imitating sounds which didnt fit here.
and ANOTHER THING. can anyone tell me how the hell i got 792 downloads!?!? i put this song 10 minutes ago..
and all my other songs never got so many downloads!! i mean WTF. how does this shit works!?!

A little about myself then: I'm 18 years old and studying Computer Science in Eindhoven. I worked with Fruity Loops in me youth, and still use it for a hobby sometimes, which lately is making housy, loungy and sometimes chilled music. <3 spacing on that.
